The Femme LEX Cohort Conference 2024

The Femme LEX Cohort is a special program introduced to give the needed guidance to ladies through a fully funded 8-week program with a target to mentor the ladies. Our young women need to be guided and informed. Imagine a young lady growing up without the necessary information about her body and health. A lady growing up with little or no information about her environment.

Interestingly, this year’s edition is about technology, climate action, Law, and justice. It is made to empower ladies with the all necessary information they need to survive in this fast-changing world.

The goal of The Femme LEX Cohort

• Leadership Development: One of the cornerstone features of the Femme LEX Cohort is its comprehensive leadership development component. The program offers a series of workshops and seminars tailored to cultivate strategic thinking, effective decision-making, and leadership capabilities. These sessions are facilitated by industry experts and seasoned professionals who bring a wealth of experience and insights. Participants engage in interactive activities, case studies, and discussions that challenge them to think critically and lead with confidence.
• Mentorship: Mentorship is a pivotal element of the Femme LEX Cohort. Each participant is paired with a mentor who is a seasoned professional in the legal field. This mentorship relationship provides a personalized support system, offering guidance on career progression, work-life balance, and navigating the complexities of the legal industry. Mentors share their experiences, provide valuable feedback, and help mentees set and achieve their professional goals. 2024 Femme Lex Cohort: Eco-Technology Justice Edition – the world’s first Technology Justice Cohort

This edition has been well-packed to suit you very well. It is made to help young women thrive in their profession. Below are some of the things to achieve through this 2024 Femme Lex Cohort: Eco-Technology Justice Edition – the world’s first Technology Justice Cohort:

​Artificial Intelligence and Cyber Security:

• Delve into the ethical issues of AI, identifying biases and inequities in AI systems.
• Discuss the development of legal policies to address these biases.
• Explore how the law can combat AI-generated crimes, especially those targeting women.
• Explore the linkages and necessity of Cyber Security in AI. 

Financial Technology:

• Understand the fundamentals of Bitcoin and digital currencies and examine the legal challenges posed by the lack of regulation in this sector.
• Learn about NFTs, their legal implications, and the development of regulatory frameworks.

Technology and Climate:

• Investigate and delve into the environmental impact of AI and FinTech technologies.
• Learn about the legal regulation of tech companies and entities to mandate renewable energy solutions.

Expert Instruction and Mentorship:

• Our course facilitators are the elite in their fields, specializing in Technology Justice, Environmental Law, Blockchain, NFT Law, and Compliance Regulations. Alongside rigorous academic training, you’ll benefit from networking with, and direct mentorship by leading technology entrepreneurs, climate justice specialists, and prominent technology lawyers.

Official Certificate of Participation and Completion:

All FLC Ambassadors will receive an Official Certificate of Completion upon successful completion of the course.

This Femme LEX cohort 2024 will be held virtually. It will be held online.

We welcome all eligible to apply: but special priority is given, but not limited to, young women from:

• Small Island Developing States
• Developing Countries
• Marginalized and disadvantaged communities globally
• Marginalized communities within developed countries
• Students of Colour

Eligibility criteria

We are seeking applicants who are current students and graduates of

• Bachelors of Law, Masters of Law, Doctorate of Law (Phd.) or equivalent. We also welcome new Attorneys-At-Law, who called the Bar in the past 1-5 years to apply.
• Bachelors, Masters and Ph.D. students or Graduates in all Environmental/Climate-related Studies
• Professionals in the Environmental and Climate-Related Fields
